Let’s Get Minted
(Disclaimer: Thanks to the latest sponsor for the Blended Conference that I’m attending in two weeks, this post is sponsored by Minted. In exchange for a promotional post they are providing me with credit towards free product. All opinions are my own and I never promote anything I don’t honestly love and think my readers would love too.)
I realize we’re still a week away from the official start of Fall, but thanks to Minted I’m already starting to think about Christmas! Only 101 days to go!
If you haven’t heard of Minted, they’re an online retailer out of San Francisco that specializes in high-end paper goods. They are most known for their holiday cards, but they also do wedding invitations, birth announcements, wall art, party décor, stationary, business cards, mommy calling cards, etc. Pretty much anything you could possibly think of!
Minted is unique in that they issue challenges to a design community with 1,000s of indie artists from all over the world. Those artists send in their submissions which are then voted on, and the winners are selected. With so many different artists there are more than enough styles to suit anyone’s taste, and if none of them suit yours, well… It’s you, not them!
Just kidding. Kinda.
So, back to Christmas cards, I’m really hoping to get ours out on time this year. In our almost eight years of marriage I don’t think that has ever happened. I usually procrastinate too long and end up sending New Year’s letters. Or Valentine’s!
Part of the Minted fun is being able to personalize photos and text and see your proof right there in front of you so you know what you’re getting. For example, maybe we’ll put Koko on our card like this:
Or maybe not, who knows, there are so many options to choose from! Bold, Elegant, Funny, Hand Drawn, Minimalist, Modern, Monogram, Rustic, Simple, Vintage… something for everyone:
How about those newsletters recapping the year, do you write one of those? If you don’t, or if you’d rather not, how about just hitting the highlights with these creative cards that are more likely to be read and remembered:
If you’re celebrating special events like a new baby, a new marriage, or a new home, you can use your Christmas card to share the special news:
And they didn’t forget us pet lovers either:
Don’t want photos on your card? No problem! They have tons of non-photo holiday cards:
And did I mention the Corporate Holiday Cards, Holiday Postcards, Holiday Minibooks, and brand new Foil-Pressed Cards? No? Consider them mentioned!
If you’re not quite ready to think about Christmas, Minted has you covered until then for Halloween, Diwali, Thanksgiving, and Hanukkah!
Click on over and check them out, you can even get 20% off all holiday cards with the code PREVIEW2013 (expires Mon 9/23). See all their current coupon codes here.
So what kind of holiday card sender are you? Picture? No Picture? Newsletter? I like to do the newsletter with pictures because those are the types I most like receiving. I love seeing our friends and family and hearing about what they’ve been up to.
